Today, September 22, 2015, officially marks 21 years since the pilot of Friends aired. It's a very valuable day for the fandom because it was the beginning of a legendary era that made an impact on television sitcom history.

The whole background to the pilot episode is obviously introducing all of the characters–especially Ms. Rachel Green–and what their lives are like: Rachel leaves her fiancé, Barry, at the altar, reunites with her high school best friend, Monica Geller. Monica introduces Rachel to her clique of friends: Chandler Bing, Phoebe Buffay, Joey Tribbiani, and her brother, Ross Geller, who had a crush on Rachel ever since high school.

As we all know, the pilot is where Ross gets his first divorce with his wife, Carol, who came to the realization that she is a lesbian. But in the end, he grabbed a spoon.
